Pauline Paradox By 119 Ministries Video Series & Other Defenses For Paul

Defending Paul and Making Sense Of His Writings. Understanding that Paul Did Not Teach Against Torah.

In the book of Acts the religious leaders of the day accused Paul of breaking Torah and teaching others to violate Torah and being against circumcision. Acts 21:21. Paul denied any such accusations Acts 25:8 and proved his accusers wrong by offering animal sacrifices to YHWH at the temple in Jerusalem after the resurrection, for himself and 4 other men, as part of the Nazarite vow. Numbers 6:1-21 , Acts 21, Acts 25:8. Since the book of Acts is true and Paul was not lying, we know that any and all accusations that Paul taught against Torah are false. Some say that Paul taught people to eat food sacrificed to idols in secret, however on further review, I don’t see that. 2nd Peter 3:15-18 Tells us that Paul’s writings have been misused and misunderstood to people’s destruction. If Paul had taught against Torah, Paul would be unique, and unlike any other author in the Bible. In Acts 6:8-14 it says that false witnesses accused Stephen and Yeshuah HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) of teaching against the law. Even Saul of Tarsus was deceived by these false witnesses before becoming Paul. With the proper context, understanding, and interpretation of Paul’s writings, we can defend Paul against any accusations that He taught against Torah. (See 2nd Peter 3:15-18 and Acts 25:8)

Defending Ephesians ~ Colossians ~ 2 Corinthians

The most important thing to remember is to read everything in context. Outlaws often quote Paul, Peter, and Yeshuah HaMashiach out of context, using snippets of a chapter to support an outlaw argument against Torah. Sometimes all that is required is to read the entire chapter that the snippet is in, to reveal the true meaning. Other times you need to know what law Paul is talking about. The Pauline Paradox series “Part 4 – What law Paul” lists 7 different laws Paul talks about and only one out of the 7 is Torah. The law of sin and death pre dates the law of Moshay. The law of Christ isn’t Torah. The law of circumcision Paul refers to isn’t Torah either. The law of circumcision is a man made law that grants salvation by circumcision, salvation by works. Paul circumcised Timothy and was for circumcision, however Paul did not believe that circumcision is salvation and Paul did not believe in salvation by works.

Remember that Peter warned us that Paul’s writings are difficult to understand, and are misinterpreted to people’s destruction. 2nd Peter 3. Sin = lawlessness that always leads to destruction. The Bible says that sin is the violation of the law.

We don’t have to choose between being lead by the Holy Spirit or by the law. Paul wrote that the Holy Spirit writes the law on our hearts, in agreement with the prophets. Hebrews 8:10, Hebrews 10:16, Jeremiah 31:33 and Ezekiel 36:22-31.

Conclusion: We can defend Paul and Paul did not teach against Torah.
