Tutorial Guide How-To Get Started Step By Step
By Default UBUNTU 20.04 does not seem to support 32 bit Wine and
Wine libraries without breaking the system.
This tutorial should give you 32 bit i386 support, and if done
correctly it should not break your system we hope.
Proceed at your own risk. http://www.JustUseLinux.com !

Step 1: Install the latest GPU driver that supports DXVK for
your system. https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/InstallingDrivers.md
SEARCH HERE TO SEE WHAT DRIVER SUPPORTS YOUR NVIDIA CARD https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
Please note that as of this video, the latest driver version is 450,
but you can check this by visting the PPA page.
https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
Install the 450 driver:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt install nvidia-driver-450
libnvidia-gl-450 libnvidia-gl-450:i386
Install support for Vulkan API (will be functional only if you have
a Vulkan capable GPU):
sudo apt install libvulkan1 libvulkan1:i386
Reboot to apply changes. Newer NVIDIA drivers may be here https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/InstallingDrivers.md
For AMD / Intel GPU:
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
sudo apt install libgl1-mesa-dri:i386
sudo apt install mesa-vulkan-drivers mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386
Restart when done.
Step 2. Install The Latest Version of Wine Staging Branch
https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/WineDependencies.md
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
wget -nc wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/winehq.key
sudo apt-key add winehq.key
sudo add-apt-repository 'deb
https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ focal main'
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --install-recommends wine-staging
sudo apt-get install libgnutls30:i386 libldap-2.4-2:i386
libgpg-error0:i386 libxml2:i386 libasound2-plugins:i386
libsdl2-2.0-0:i386 libfreetype6:i386 libdbus-1-3:i386
libsqlite3-0:i386
sudo apt-get install winehq-stable
You should also have: fonts-wine libwine libwine-development
libwine:i386 playonlinux q4wine wine-stable wine-stable-amd64
wine-stable-i386:i386 wine-staging wine-staging-amd64
wine-staging-i386:i386 wine32-preloader:i386 wine32:i386 wine64
winehq-stable winetricks
With that installed, everything works for me that should work.
Step 3: Install The Latest Version of Lutris
https://lutris.net/downloads/
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lutris-team/lutris
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lutris
Step 4: Install Steam and Enable Proton For All Games

Once done, restart Steam to apply.
Step 5: Enable Feral Gamemode for Steam and Lutris.
sudo apt install meson libsystemd-dev pkg-config ninja-build git
libdbus-1-dev dbus-user-session
For Steam, right click on the Properties of a game, click on SET
LAUNCH OPTIONS.. and then type the following:
gamemoderun %command%
OR
gamemoderun command
Click OK, and then Close to apply.
For Lutris, navigate to Preferences / System options / Command
